Hello. I’m Linda and I have created Earth Story Wellbeing to share my life’s work with the world.
I am passionate about nurturing holistic wellbeing, and my aim is to help people find a deeper sense of belonging and connectedness to the Earth, to each other and to their natural selves, through private sessions, circles, workshops and mentoring programs based on Wayapa Wuurrk®. I work with individuals, educators, parents and children.
Read on to find out more about my story and the story behind Earth Story Wellbeing.
In this workshop you will be introduced to the beautiful Earth connection and mindfulness modality called Wayapa Wuurrk (which means “Connect to the Earth”). Come and discover the wellness secrets that the First Australians enjoyed for over 100,000 years.
Wayapa is an Earth connection and wellness modality from Australia, based on ancient Indigenous wisdom.
Today, for most of us, we have become disconnected from our environment, from our tribe, from our food and from our Spirit. Through a combination of Earth mindfulness, narrative meditation, a mindful movement practice based around 14 elements that we are connected with in nature, and taking action to look after the planet, Wayapa® provides a sense of belonging to the Earth while creating holistic wellbeing.
Wayapa is for all Earth people who would like to explore a deeper sense of belonging and connectedness to the Earth, to each other and to their natural selves, and to learn to become better custodians of the Earth for future generations. We are all indigenous to the Earth. Some of us just need reminding, and to be guided to slow down and mindfully rediscover that connection which is our birthright.
Hello, I’m Linda.
I am an educator and mother from Sydney, Australia with over 30 years experience in primary and early childhood education, mainly as co-owner with my sister of our own child care centre for 0-5 year olds.
I am a certified Wayapa Wuurrk practitioner, specialising in Wayapa in Education. I am also a qualified mindfulness and meditation teacher, transpersonal art therapist and women’s circle facilitator. I weave together all of these modalities in my Wayapa Earth connection circles, workshops and mentoring programs.
I would like to acknowledge our beautiful home, planet Earth, and offer gratitude for the abundant gifts that she bestows upon us daily. I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I was born, live, work, and create – the Cammeraygal people of the Eora nation. I pay my respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all First Nations people across this beautiful continent. I acknowledge their ongoing spiritual connection to Country and culture and I am so grateful to them for the wisdom they share so generously about being truly connected to place and caring for Country. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
